Loading-Bay and Reversing-Vehicle Awareness
Follow a delivery through the fictional Bay B3 arrangements. Learners recognise reversing and trapping spaces, review loading-interface concerns and distinguish a stationary vehicle from a vehicle whose required controls have been confirmed. The scenario makes role boundaries explicit: a dispatch assistant is not automatically a trained signaller or a person authorised to release a vehicle.
Value for your training programme
Supports induction and refresher discussions about the separate checks and communications involved in arrival, loading and departure.
Suggested audience
Dispatch teams, loading-area workers and pedestrians near delivery operations.
Learning objectives
- Use the specified contact and waiting arrangements without taking on an unapproved signalling or equipment task.
- Keep people outside reversing and trapping spaces and seek help when the manoeuvre arrangements are unclear.
- Identify an accessible unprotected edge or a loading-interface fault from the stated evidence.
- Use the stated checks for loading and for departure; do not confuse a stopped vehicle or signed paperwork with release.
- Record the facts and retain the stated restriction until the responsible person confirms the required checks.
Seven-section learning path
- Know your role at the bay
- Inspect loading-bay situations
- Understand reversing and edge risks
- Check loading and departure controls
- A delivery reaches Bay B3
- Report faults and verify release
- Check your learning
How learners work through the package
Learners read the supplied workplace conditions, examine six observation cases, answer practice questions and follow a branching scenario. They then complete an untimed ten-question assessment across five learning outcomes and review explanatory feedback. The package learning threshold is 80%; it is not a competence or legal-certification standard.
Learning controls and reporting
UK and US English browser narration, playback controls and transcripts accompany the written UK-English content. Text enlargement, high contrast, reduced motion, keyboard-operable controls and fullscreen support are included. Fullscreen and voice availability depend on the receiving environment.
Learners can review results, outcome scores, response explanations and optional reflection notes, with print, JSON and CSV outputs. Authorised facilitators use the receiving Moodle’s SCORM attempt, interaction and objective reports. A consolidated cross-course reporting dashboard is not included.
Delivery and requirements
A standalone SCORM 1.2 learning package intended for upload into your own Moodle site. A Moodle course, permission to add activities, appropriate settings and receiving-site testing are required. Hosting, enrolment administration, practical training, accreditation, update entitlement and support are not included unless the final product offer explicitly says otherwise. Confirm the product’s permitted use, licence and included files before purchase.
Important scope
This is awareness and decision practice, not driver, signaller or loading-equipment training, practical certification or permission to enter a live bay. Follow your organisation’s risk assessment, traffic plan and authorised procedures. Bay B3 rules are fictional exercise conditions.
